The Client
Part of Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, the Bryn Pica project is the UK’s 1st Circular Economy Eco-Park that is being delivered in line with the aims and objectives of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
The Challenge
To undertake a design to connect a new 11kV supply from the local Distribution Network Operator ‘Western Power Distribution’ (WPD) onto a private 11kV SMART GRID.
The Outcome
Following an on-site review with the management team and WPD, we provided a list of a full technical design to install and manage the distribution of energy generation and consumption, including renewable sources.
The Future
The Bryn Pica project will continue to develop the Eco-Park in line with Circular Economy standard BS8001 and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015. EFT Consult are providing on-going electrical, mechanical and environmental well-being services for this fantastic world-leading initiative.
